Vigil for Palestine
UVM Students for Justice in Palestine
By the time you finish reading this, a Palestinian child will be taken from this earth. Their death will be justified by your local news, defended by your classmate, funded by your university’s investments, equipped by your government’s weapons factories, and above all, enabled by your silence.

On Tuesday evening, we honor and grieve the countless souls taken in the struggle for freedom. As we mourn the children whose limbs were taken before they could walk, the mothers who buried their sons, the refugees of 1948 who will never return home, and the young men and women tortured and executed for refusing to bow, we affirm that we will carry them forward. We will fight for them as their fight is ours, and they will not have died in vain. Dress warmly (23°F) and wear your keffiyeh.

Join us on Thursday, February 15th 5:30-7:00pm on Zoom to learn the facts about threat assessments, how they can put children (especially those with marginalized identities) at risk, and what you can do if a child you know is undergoing a threat assessment.”
